19.01.2021 535

At an extended session of the Senate Committee on Constitutional Legislation, Judicial System and Law Enforcement Agencies, deputies reviewed the bill “On Making Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Road Traffic”, initiated by parliamentarians.

The bill provides for the exclusion of administrative responsibility for drivers for the absence of their driver’s licenses and vehicle registration certificates while driving a car. However, drivers who have obtained driver’s licenses and vehicle registration certificates outside of Kazakhstan will be required to have them on hand.

Also, to increase road safety, the bill prohibits the initial registration of buses that are over 10 years. This provision is scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2022.
