Chair of the Senate Committee on Finance and Budget Olga Perepechina discussed problems of the healthcare sector funding with medical workers of the North-Kazakhstan Region.
Thus, the issues related to difficulties in financing chemotherapy treatment of cancer patients, accessibility of medical equipment, and expenditures of healthcare organizations were touched upon during the meeting with executives of healthcare organizations.
The senator noted that all the above problems slow down the medical process, and therefore the quality of services suffers.
“Your task is to ensure the correct, comfortable and effective treatment, but this cannot be accomplished without sufficient funding. The largest share of the national budget is annually allocated for health care. I think that the mentioned problems are common in other regions as well. Consequently, these issues must be raised at the level of the Ministry of Health. And I will do that,” Senator Olga Perepechina said.
The senator completed her mission by visiting vaccination points in Petropavlovsk. As reported by the regional administration, the city has 93 stationary vaccination points and 53 mobile points.
