Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed and Kairat Kozhamzharov inspected defense enterprises

Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed and Kairat Kozhamzharov, deputies of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Defense and Security, paid a visit to military units of the Akmola region.

The senators met with the personnel of the military units, got familiar with the material and technical resources and housing conditions of the military men. Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed noticed the high level of combat readiness of the units and their staffing with state-of-the-art technical aids.

Moreover, the deputies discussed some issues related to the implementation of the Law “On Military Service and Status of Military Servants”, including the social and logistical support of military personnel.

The parliamentarians were also briefed on activities of the Center for Disaster Medicine of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which is in charge of tasks of providing medical and psychological assistance to people who have suffered as a result of emergencies. 

“It is essential that professional medical emergency and rescue services should be developed. This is crucial for the reduction of fatal cases”, Senator Kairat Kozhamzharov said.

The Chairman of the relevant Senate Committee continued his trip across the regions by visiting machine-building enterprises of Almaty. 

Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed was demonstrated the productive capacity of the enterprises, designed for the output of weaponry and military goods.

During the talk, participants discussed issues relating to the implementation of the Law “On the Defense Industry and the State Defense Order”, more specifically, price formation, increase in the level of localization, signing long-term contracts as part of the defense order, and the reduction of the debt burden of the enterprises and the availability of financial resources.

“There is a need to systematically tackle the problems that exist in the industry. On the one hand, it is necessary to support domestic enterprises and, on the other hand, to fully meet the needs of military units with up-to-date and really demanded weapons and military equipment”, Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed said.
