Senators will consider Agreements on Military-Technical Assistance

The Bureau conducted a meeting chaired by Speaker of the House Maulen Ashimbayev, where deputies approved the issues proposed for consideration at the session of the Senate, scheduled for November 25, 2021. 

The agenda of the next session of the Senate includes the bill “On Making Amendments and Additions to the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Taxes and Other Obligatory Payments to the Budget” (Tax Code) and the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the Implementation of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Taxes and Other Obligatory Payments to the Budget” (Tax Code)”. The draft Law is designed to support businesses and citizens, to improve tax administration measures to counteract the shadow economy.

Senators will also consider the bills “On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on the Provision of Gratuitous Military-Technical Assistance”, “On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on the Provision of Gratuitous Military-Technical Assistance”. As part of these Agreements, Kazakhstan will provide military-technical assistance to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in the form of transfers of military property. In turn, the aid recipients will undertake not to transfer the military property received or the right to use it to a third party.

The agenda of the upcoming session of the Senate also includes another document on military cooperation - the bill “On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on the Provision of Military-Technical Assistance to Ensure Security in the Adjacent Regions of the Tajik-Afghan Border”.

In addition, the bills, previously received from the Mazhilis, were distributed during the session of the Bureau among the Senate Committees for further work.
