The Bureau held a meeting chaired by Speaker of the House Maulen Ashimbayev, at which deputies approved the agenda for the meeting of the Senate to be held on December 30, 2021.
During the upcoming meeting, senators plan to consider the issue “On the election of a judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.
Also, the agenda will include the bill “On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation on the implementation of the project “Construction and operation of a mineral fertilizers plant”.
The Agreement provides for the construction of a mineral fertilizer plant with an annual output of more than one million tons of industrial products. The plant will create at least 1,200 jobs. In addition, the bill also regulates the issues of hiring and attracting foreign workers, visa facilitation for foreign workers, cooperation on the development of the project area, as well as the norms for the settlement of disputes between the parties.
Furthermore, at the Bureau meeting, the bill “On ratification of the Treaty between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on Military Cooperation”, received from the Mazhilis, was passed to the Senate Committee on International Relations, Defense and Security for further work.
