Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament Maulen Ashimbayev, assessing the current situation, noted:
"We are all concerned about the situation in the country. The State is doing everything necessary to stabilize the situation. Today, the Head of State gave a number of instructions to state agencies, and yesterday, as Chairman, held a meeting of the Security Council."
The Speaker of the Senate stressed that, unfortunately, in a number of regions, especially in Almaty, groups of provocateurs commit criminal acts by organizing attacks on administrative buildings and social facilities.
"The provocateurs' actions are aimed at destabilizing the internal situation in the country. The obstruction of ambulance and medical institutions, the use of weapons against law enforcement officials, shop robberies and looting continues. As the President of the country noted, this indicates carefully prepared actions that are terrorist acts directed against state bodies and citizens," the Chairman of the Senate said.
According to Maulen Ashimbayev, the unity of society is important at such critical moments.
"It is important for Kazakhstanis to unite around the President of the country to protect our Independence and statehood. We should not succumb to provocations. It is necessary to strictly suppress any criminal actions. It is important to draw lessons from the events that took place in some neighboring countries, which caused enormous damage to the stability and economic development of these countries," Maulen Ashimbayev said.
The Chairman of the Senate stressed the need to support the Head of State at such a difficult moment and called for unity and cohesion of society.
