Speaker of the Senate offered condolences to the UAE Ambassador

Chairman of the Senate Maulen Ashimbayev expressed his condolences to the United Arab Emirates Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mohammed Saeed Mohammed Al-Ariqi in connection with the death of the UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

During his visit to the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Kazakhstan, the Speaker of the Senate also left an entry in the Book of Condolences.

Maulen Ashimbaev noted that Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan was one of the outstanding leaders in the Muslim world and a great friend of Kazakhstan. He made a great contribution to the development of bilateral partnership between our countries. Important social, infrastructure and investment projects implemented in our country are associated with his name.

As noted by the Speaker of the Senate, on May 15, our Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited Abu Dhabi and personally expressed his condolences on the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

"Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan was a universally recognized statesman who played a tremendous role in the development of the UAE. He also contributed greatly to strengthening international cooperation and promoting constructive dialogue among religions and cultures. Sharing your sorrow, on behalf of myself and the members of the Senate, I express my deepest condolences to you and the people of the United Arab Emirates on the irreparable loss of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan," the President of the Senate stressed.

Recall that His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan served as president of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi since November 3, 2004.
