Deputies of the Senate Committee on Finance and Budget, studying the problematic issues of agriculture, visited an agricultural enterprise producing pesticides and herbicides, which is located in Stepnogorsk, Akmola Region.
Senators note that today it is extremely important to study this industry and comprehensively provide legislative support to local producers, as well as to eliminate unequal competition with importers.
"We have come to the conclusion that it is necessary to study the current problems and issues in the sphere of crop production, as well as to revise the law on taxation of this industry within the framework of legislation. In addition, there is a specific instruction of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to support domestic producers,"- voiced Senator Gumar Dyusembayev.
In addition, the senators were told that local companies producing pesticides and herbicides have the ability to provide their services in installments, thereby facilitating the work of agricultural producers.
During the visit, senators noted the importance of the raised issues, deputies pointed out that with proper state support, domestic producers with existing production capacity are able to increase production and provide 90% of pesticides for domestic market in the next 12 months. Such a breakthrough will increase public employment, strengthen the scientific and practical work of domestic scientists, accelerate the development of new pesticide preparations, and increase tax revenues.
