15.08.2022 200

Deputies of the Senate of the RK Parliament Serikbay Trumov, Suyindik Aldashev and Baktybay Chelpekov took part in the round table dedicated to the International Caspian Day 2022.

The participants discussed the state of the Caspian Sea, ways of effective solution of existing environmental problems and preservation of unique marine flora and fauna.

During the meeting the senators noted the importance of the Caspian Sea and emphasized that the protection and preservation of its stable ecological state is a key responsibility and priority task for the states located on its shores.

"The ecology of the Caspian Sea is very important for the 5 countries on its shores. Our task is to balance the scale and reduce the impact on the environment, based on global experience. Another issue that concerns us is the fate of the Caspian seal, which is included in the Red Book. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that special attention should be given to this issue and that it will be under his personal control," said Serikbay Trumov.

It is worth noting that in order to strengthen the protection of the Caspian seal, it was included in the Red Book of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the Decree of the Kazakhstan Government on November 13, 2020.
