Under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev held a meeting of the House.

During the meeting, deputies considered and adopted two laws: on trade cooperation of EAEU countries with Iran and Kazakhstan's accession to the Agreement on the Establishment of the Global Green Growth Institute.

The law "On ratification of the Protocol to the Interim Agreement Leading to a Free Trade Area between the Eurasian Economic Union and its Member States, on the one hand, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the other hand, dated May 17, 2018" is aimed at supporting economic and trade cooperation between the EEU countries and Iran.

"The Protocol aims to strengthen economic cooperation between the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Islamic Republic of Iran. We believe that the adopted Law will have a positive impact on increasing trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the Islamic Republic of Iran," said Maulen Ashimbayev, commenting on the adoption of the Law.

Novelties envisaged in the second adopted Law - "On Ratification of the Agreement on the Establishment of the Global Green Growth Institute" - open access for our country's experts to the knowledge base of the Global Green Growth Institute. The law allows creating a model of economic green growth, focused, in particular, on intensifying cooperation with international organizations and international institutions working in this field.

"This Agreement is aimed at promoting the implementation of a green economy model in the country. The adopted Law opens up opportunities for the exchange of experience in the field of green technologies with partner countries of the Global Green Growth Institute. We hope that this will contribute to the balanced and sustainable development of Kazakhstan," concluded Maulen Ashimbayev.
