At an enlarged meeting of the Senate Committee on Social and Cultural Development and Science deputies discussed laws "On Ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on Uniform Principles and Rules of Circulation of Medical Devices (Medical Devices and Medical Equipment) within the Eurasian Economic Union dated December 23, 2014 (signed on 10.06.2022)" and "On Ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on Uniform Principles and Rules for Circulation of Medical Devices (Medical Devices and Medical Equipment) within the Eurasian Economic Union of December 23, 2014 (signed on December 30, 2021)".
The documents were developed for the purpose of uninterrupted provision of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union with registered medical devices by extending the period of registration of medical devices according to the norms of national legislations of the member states.
In addition, the protocols provide for the possibility of re-registration of a medical device, amending the registration documents of a medical device in accordance with the national legislation of the member states in case of the submission of a corresponding application before December 31, 2026.
As a result of the discussion the members of the Committee decided to submit the laws for consideration at the meeting of the House.
